Our location, the fishing village of Ferragudo is one of the most picturesque places of the Algarve. Situated at the Rio Arade estuary, opposite the busy harbour city of Portimão with its popular night life places in Praia da Rocha. In the small harbour, with low tide the various fishing boats are lying scattered on the dry sand. Against the light, you can see the green and blue slick and the silvery shining of the water surface.
The winding small alleys and crooked stairs everywhere give you a real impression of the original Portuguese mentality.
 
Living here is taking everything really easy. In front of the white washed and mostly with flowers decorated tiny houses, you can observe women doing their laundry. Around lunch time you can sometimes smell the fresh sardines being grilled in the streets.
